History

Our origins go back to 5 July 1961 when our founder, Otto Meiser, registered the company with the Saarbrücken chamber of crafts (Handwerkskammer). Back then, the company was a locksmith …

… which, as a subcontractor, built vibrating feeders to order. Over the years, the range expanded. In as early as 1968, the son-in-law Theo Zewe entered the business as a business associate. Back then, Otto Meiser & Zewe was based in Merchweiler. Together, the partners developed their own designs in the field of conveyors (with a focus on foundry machinery) and successfully marketed the machines in many countries. Since 1985, Mr. Zewe has run the company alone. Over time, the company has become an independent payer in the market. The designs have been continuously revised and expanded. In 1989, operations had to be relocated to Spiesen-Elversberg due to the cramped conditions. In 1999, a suitable site was finally found where the company could expand its production. Since 2000, Zewe GmbH has had its main office in Industriestraße 7, Dillingen. In the years ahead, Mr. Zewe is hoping the build upon the company’s presence in the market and attracts new customers. In doing so, he is actively supported by his children and grandchildren.
